A call is issued to all tribal members who are Brave Hearts, who are ready to join together in unity to assert the rightful sovereignty of all Indian Nations, treaty tribe or not. We want people who believe:
That the U.S. has no authority to declare which tribe(s) are Native American and which are not; or to declare who is and who is not an Indian.
That the treaties are the law of the land and the U.S. is violating its own Constitution by not honoring treaty terms with Indian Nations and therefore treaties must be re-negotiated.
That the U.S. Congress has wrongfully assumed "plenary power" over all of Indian affairs without the consent of Indian people, and has therefore unconstitutionally ignored the words and intent of its Founding Fathers.
That over the past 50 years our leaders have lost their way and have allowed non-elected groups, e.g. The National Congress of American Indians, the national Indian Gaming Assoc., lawyers and Lobbyists, to make the decisions for us. Because of this our leaders no longer make demands on behalf of Indian people or to protect treaties, sovereignty, customs and traditions.
That if positive actions are not taken soon it will be too late to prevent the termination of the statues of Sovereign nations guaranteed us in 1776.
If you agree that action needs to be taken and believe that the grassroots people must act now before the millennium arrives with new policies which will result in the loss of even more Indian land and loss of tribal citizenship, please consider joining The Tecumseh Group. Tribal members now have no one representing them as a strong advocate. The Tecumseh Group will do that, and will do all it can to restore the power of your tribal government.
